Observatory Lodge Rates: 
NZ $400 / NZ $370 (double / single) per night
including NZ continental breakfast and complimentary stargazing tour (weather permitting).

Up to 2 additional guests can be accommodated in the adjacent lounge
at NZ $315 / NZ $285 (double / single) per night.

Miners Cottage Rates: 
NZ $400 / NZ $370 (double / single) per night in the main bedroom on a self-catering basis including complimentary NZ dark sky stargazing tour (weather permitting).

Minimum stay 3 nights in Cottage - T&Cs below

Up to 2 additional guests can be accommodated in separate rooms at
NZ $150 each per night.

We no longer accept credit or debit cards. We do accept payment by direct credit to our New Zealand bank account or in NZ cash.  If unsure please enquire when you call or email us.

Conditions & Cancellation Policy

TERMS AND CONDITIONS: 

Observatory Lodge:  Minimum stay 2 nights; otherwise a single night surcharge of NZ $150/room will apply. Not suitable for children under 12 due to high decks, an unfenced stream and open historic gold mine tunnels.

All guests receive complimentary New Zealand stargazing tours on one of the nights (weather permitting).

Miners Cottage:  Minimum stay 3 nights; one or two night stays incur a one off surcharge of NZ $250 for cottage use.  Not suitable for children under 12 due to an unfenced stream and open historic gold mine tunnels.

CHECK IN is anytime from 3pm and CHECK OUT is generally at 10am but contact us if you require a late check out. 

Cancellation Policy: Reservations cancelled within 7 days of arrival date will incur a 50% cancellation fee. This rises to 100% during New Zealand Christmas holiday season (December 25- March 1 inclusive) and the NZ Easter holiday period.

COVID-19 CONDITIONS  As your hosts and many guests are in the most vulnerable age group we now require all guests and visitors to be fully vaccinated and wear a suitable mask during tours.
